For the series finale, Cheryl graced the stage with her former Girls Aloud co-stars, Kimberley Walsh, Nicola Roberts, and Nadine Coyle.

They weren't the only ones reuniting during the highly anticipated finale; Simon also reunited with Cheryl, years after she last judged on X Factor alongside him.

Simon admitted that it was 'amazing' to see her again.

Speaking to The Sun at the BGT photocall yesterday, Simon said: "She hasn't changed at all. I miss her. We had great fun working together... so it was a bit of a reunion.

"Definitely, I would work with her again in the future with the right show because I think she was a really, really good judge."

Cheryl Cole's former co-judge and ex-manager Louis Walsh took a savage swipe at the star during his stint on Celebrity Big Brother last month.

The pair have traded insults ever since Louis management of Cheryl's group Girls Aloud turned sour, and their relationship didn't improve once the Fight For This Love singer joined The X Factor panel.

Recalling the 2008 series, when the show was at its highest ratings, Louis talked to his CBB housemates about the intense competition between him and fellow judges Cheryl, Dannii Minogue, and Simon behind the scenes.

Louis said: "We took it so f*****g serious, and we all wanted to win," he revealed. "We were pretending it was about the show, we all wanted to win. And we were all trying to upstage each other with songs and performance."

Louis then talked about the X Factor finale, where judges had to pair their acts with established artists for performances.

He mentioned how Simon assisted Cheryl in securing megastar Beyoncé to perform with Cheryl's act, Alexandra Burke, ultimately securing Alexandra's win.

Louis said: "Simon loved Cheryl, what the f*** did he do? He got her Beyoncé, it was all over... And I didn’t find out until the middle of the week, that’s what he’s like. That’s what makes him good."

Louis, who described his relationship with his fellow judges as 'frenemies' went on to brand Cheryl as 'smug'.

He said: "Cheryl was, she was kinda smug with me, I wanted to beat her as well."

Louis added: " She’s a good girl, she’s good. She’s had a lot of negativity but I like her. She doesn’t know that, I like her more than she likes me."
