Strictly Come Dancing pro ‘confirmed’ for new series – after partner lets slip huge BBC news

The professionals apparently are still yet to be told about their fate on the show by bosses

THE status of one of the Strictly Come Dancing professional dancers has seemingly been confirmed for the next series.

It has only been months since former Coronation Street star Ellie Leach lifted the glitterball trophy as the winner of the 21st series with Vito Coppola.

But already, the hype for the next series has already began and one star names has seemingly been confirmed to be taking part.

Former Hollyoaks actress Gemma Atkinson, previously competed on the fifteenth series of Strictly Come Dancing.

After coming second on the show, she later found love with one of the professional dancers.

The former glamour model recently gave birth to her second child with Gorka Márquez in July of 2023.

But taking to her Instagram story, she seemed to have confirmed that Gorka will indeed be taking his place on the dancefloor for yet another year.

Although his future was still cryptically left up in the air, as she didn't know if he would even have a partner on the show.

This was because she seemed to have worried about childcare when he goes back to train for the long-running BBC ballroom dancing series.

One fan asked her when she planned to but her son Thiago, 10 months, into nursery as she juggled her own own commitments.

Responding to the question, the radio presenter explained: "Depending on Gorka's partner and whether he has a partner, depending on where they're based, he doesn't know where he is.

"All the childcare lands on my family because obviously all his family are in Spain."

She also explained that the duo did not choose to enrol their daughter Mia, four, into nursery until she was older.

They chose to send her for her first stage of school when she was a year-and-a-half, but her younger child will attend from a slightly earlier age.

This comes after Gorka's co-stars, Luba Mushtuk and Jowita Przystal revealed the professions do not know if they will return to the show for the 2024 series.

Appearing last week on BBC Breakfast, Jowita explained: "Hopefully we are back, we don't know yet. You will have to watch to find out."

Luba then exclaimed: "Fingers crossed, it's very exciting."
