PROFESSOR T has confirmed the fate of leading man Ben Miller in an 'emotional belter' ITV episode.
In the most recent episode, Jasper Tempest, (played by Ben Miller, 58) was last seen in legal hot water as he appeared in court.
In a crucial decision, he was forced to decide whether to save himself or his ex-partner from imprisonment in Professor T.
However events soon took a drastic turn as a prison officer was found dead and the professor was instantly drawn in as the prime suspect.
In court, he originally decided to change his plea to guilty, but he then decided to plead not guilty and was set free from prison in a dramatic turn of events.
As he reflected on his freedom, Christina (played by Juliet Aubrey) couldn't help but apologise for what she put him through.

She explained: "I thought I might find you here.
"I wanted to say how sorry I am...what I put you through trying to keep my job."
As he declared it was not her responsibility to protect him in response, Christina declared that she jumped before she was pushed.
The character then says that she plans to move elsewhere as her thoughts suggest that her future is bleak, although she will always hold a soft pot for him.

She said: "I am still under investigation, I have no future in the force. I am here to say goodbye, I am moving to the coast with Michael and the kids. I am glad that I have known you, I loved you."
But fans were absolutely delighted by the result of the story-line as they took to social media to lavish praise on the drama

Ahead of the new instalments, the actor opened up on the gripping storyline.
"It's just about the worst environment he could possibly find himself in," he said.

"First of all, he's germaphobic, and the whole of the prison is pretty unhygienic. I think he struggles with that.
"He really doesn't like the food, and he finds it really difficult sharing a cell with someone."
