A REALITY star who is related to the King was caught up in a kidnap ordeal while filming abroad.
Made in Chelsea’s Freddy Knatchbull — a great grandson of Prince Philip’s uncle — was locked in a 4x4 by mobsters in Corsica.
The incident threw cast members of the E4 reality show into a panic.
It is not clear why Freddy, 20, was grabbed or the motives of the gang.
He missed King Charles’ May coronation to film last summer’s spin-off.
When asked why he’d declined an invite, he said at the time: “You’ve got to go to work, I’m afraid.

"I couldn’t fly back. I was filming that day.”
He kept quiet about his ordeal. But a source told The Sun on Sunday: “The cast were very worried.
“There were five burly men. They were intimidating and hostile and locked the doors of the 4x4 with Freddy inside.
“No one could get hold of him for ages.”

An insider added “It was hugely worrying because he’s the youngest but it all ended up OK.
“We had no idea what was going on and whether it was linked to money or he’d just said the wrong thing in French.
“It’s been kept under lock and key ever since.”
It’s understood that show bosses were not made aware of the incident at the time.
They had been on high alert as Corsica, a French island, has Europe’s highest murder rate.
Freddy is the great-grandson of Earl Mountbatten — great-grandson of Queen Victoria and uncle to Prince Philip.
E4 were approached to comment on the incident.
