It came after The Sun exclusively revealed Rob Rinder, 45, would resume his Good Morning Britain stint for the second Friday running, alongside Charlotte Hawkins, 48.

After the ITV episode wrapped, one fan was quick to write on X: "Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins are an underrated double act, give them the Friday show permanently."

A second put: "Very interesting how different presenters on #GMB appear to influence the content and quality of the show.

"Rob Rinder and Charlotte Hawkins are elevating the brand today with really solid takes and interviews. A refreshing change from the 'facile Fridays' of yore."

A third then commented: "Rob Rinder never ceases to impress," as another added: "I'm glad Rob Rinder is on this morning."

Yet fans will have to temper their excitement for the criminal barrister and Judge Rinder frontman, who starred on Strictly in 2016.

This is because GMB stand-in host Adil Ray, 49, has already revealed he will be back next week.

Adil's return

It came as he also confirmed he will remain a permanent fixture for a little while - after he took a break for the Easter holiday.

He wrote on X, formerly Twitter: "Thanks for watching @gmb.

"Off for Fridays over the Easter break.

"Back with you from April 12 peeps, and for quite a few Fridays until September."

He added: "FriRays they’re all calling it. Well one person did. That’ll do."

Last month Adil also let slip his hit ITV game show Lingo will return for a fourth series - with an exciting twist.

Additionally, The Sun was first to reveal how former Labour Shadow Chancellor Ed Balls will front his first GMB in three weeks on Monday.

Home truths

Meanwhile, Rob was on-hand today as co-host Charlotte told how she would be in "trouble" with her husband.

It came after the presenter recorded her spouse snoring - and proceeded to play the clip out live on the ITV show.

She told how hubby Mark Herbert, 50, who she married in 2008, was "not thrilled" at how things had played out.

The broadcaster, who shares daughter Ella Rose with Mark, said: "I’ve recorded my husband because he was in denial about snoring.

"So I actually recorded him, as a good journalist obviously as proof.

"I’m going to be in so much trouble.

"But we do have the recording of my husband. You can hear some of it now."

She added: "And he denies that it’s snoring."
