Hollyoaks’ James Sutton hints at grim end for soap character after dropping massive clue on Instagram

HOLLYOAKS' James Sutton today hinted at a grim end for one of the soap's characters.

The soap hunk, who is best known for playing John Paul McQueen on screens, dropped a massive clue on Instagram that one person could be about to die.

It came after the actor, 41, shared a picture of himself as his Hollyoaks character dressed in an all black suit, that looked like something you would wear to a funeral.

Fans now think this could be hinting that John Paul's mum Sally St Claire (Annie Wallace) could die.

Hollyoaks spoilers have confirmed his mother will get some "worrying news" soon, and fans think this could spell the end of the character.

Actor James has now added fuel to the fire by wearing a suit to shoot new scenes for the soap.

Meanwhile, last month it was revealed how the soap star had found love again - five months after he had split from his wife of five years.

The actor went official with his stunning new girlfriend Tamara and shared a loved up snap of them together on Instagram.

Captioning the snap, James wrote: “Mine.”

He then followed it with a red love heart emoji and the hashtag #datenight. 

James’s followers - including his Hollyoaks co-stars -  shared their joy at seeing their friend looking happy again.

Jennifer Metcalfe, who plays James’s on-screen sister Mercedes, wrote: “Love this.”

While another pal gushed: “Gorgeous couple.” A third penned: “Love an Insta launch.”

Actress Lucy Jo Hudson penned: "Yesss mate!" and another added: “Glad to see you happy.” 

James’s new relationship comes after it was revealed that he had secretly split from his wife Rachel Collin after more than five years of marriage.

The pair, who are now divorced, first met at Glastonbury and returned there in 2018 to tie the knot. 

But a source said the pair quietly divorced as James confirmed: "Rachael and I had a wonderful relationship and marriage. It was very sad but amicable, and we remain friends."

A source added: "James and Rachael have enjoyed a really happy marriage but, as many couples can relate to, their relationship became strained during lockdown.

"James is in the public eye, whereas Rachael prefers to be out of the spotlight and, after eight fantastic years together, they decided they were better off as friends.

"For now, James is focused on work. They still have a lot of love for each other."
