Towie fans brand Dan ‘disgusting’ after working out age gap with Ella – moaning ‘he’s having a midlife crisis’

TOWIE fans have accused Dan Edgar of ‘having a midlife crisis’ after he shared a passionate kiss with Ella Rae Wise.

The pair were shown getting it on after dark in a swimming pool in Bali as the ITVBe reality show returned for a new series.

Ella had asked Dan  to unzip her skirt before they slipped into the pool in their swimwear and began snogging in the water.

But viewers have been left shaking their heads at the scenes after working out their age difference.

Dan, who was previously in a five-year relationship with Amber Turner, is 33 years old.

In comparison, Ella – who is single after splitting with her mystery boyfriend in January – is an entire decade younger at just 23.

Sharing their thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter, one horrified Towie fan said: “Dan going for a woman 10 years younger than him after being in a long-term relationship with a woman his age is giving crisis.”

Another added: “Dan is so embarrassing. In his thirties & still wants to be outisde…with… ELLA?”

A third remarked: “Dan is 33 kissing 23 year olds.”

While another viewer admitted: “Ew Dan and Ella make me feel uncomfortable.”

Ella’s head was seen turning in Sunday night’s series premiere of Towie, which was shot with the majority of the cast in Bali.

She later confessed to snogging him after he ‘rubbed aloe vera’ into her sunburned shoulders.

Dan, meanwhile, was quick to tell his male pals that Ella had spent the night in his hotel room.

As well as being concerned about the 10-year age gap, some viewers fear Ella is playing with fire by setting her sights on Dan.

Meanwhile, Amber Turner shared her thoughts on her ex’s decision to embark on a fling with Ella in Bali.

She lived with Dan during their five-year relationship and they even shared a pet dog together.

But Amber admitted she ‘wasn’t surprised’ by his behaviour.

She told her friends around the pool: “He swore on his life he never flirted with her. It has made me feel like he had a thing for her in the past.

“I do see the good in people. You are living with me. But when I turn my back, you are flirting with another girl…

“That was Dan back in the day. I didn’t think 33 year old Dan would still be doing that.”

“But let them crack on. It has not shocked me in the slightest.”
