ALISON Hammond has hit back at a troll who branded her a ‘nasty piece of work’.
The 49-year-old spotted the cruel comment after the latest episode of Celebrity Bake Off and expressed her upset.
The troll wrote: “I imagine @AlisonHammond is a real nasty piece of work now, started to believe her own hype.”
In response, This Morning star Alison replied: “Why is that I’ll be having a lovely day and then someone who doesn’t know from Adam writes such nasty message . Don’t @ me keep
“Your nasty comment to yourself #bekind always.”
Alison’s followers rushed to offer her support, with one person writing: “I'm so sorry Alison. Keep being the amazing and kind person you are. You're lovely as you are xx”

A second said: “Ignore the haters, they’re just jealous, keep being you, you remind me of my bestie, she’s big and black and loads of fun too, but if you get on the wrong side of her, you get told it in not so many words!! I think you’re lovely xx”
The troll also replied again and wrote: “Fair enough, I will, was just exercising my write to free speech and will except those consequences, the only reason I @ the person I was talking about was I didn’t want it to seem cowardly, but from now on, as asked I will leave you be.”
Alison enjoys huge success as a TV presenter after first appearing on Big Brother in 2002.
She was even tipped for the main presenting job on This Morning, but later admitted she didn’t want the gig.

Speaking to , she said: "I live in Birmingham and do Bake Off and For the Love of Dogs. I never wanted that job. Last year we did extra because we were going through issues, but Cat and Ben will save that show."
In December last year, Alison was honoured for her presenting skills at the 2023 Women in Film and Television Awards.
