This Morning star will return to the show TODAY – after missing out on the top job to Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley

THIS Morning's Craig Doyle may have missed out on the top job, but he's return to the show today.

Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley were named the new ITV presenters to officially replace Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield.

Craig was said to be in the running, but missed out to ITV veteran Ben who quit Good Morning Britain last month.

However, instead of presenting from the studio, Craig will be on location when he appears on today's show.

Posting a video of Battersea Power Station, Craig told fans: "Coming to you live on This Morning on 10am from this beauty..."

It's thought Craig will be on to present today's competition, which was earlier this week presented by I'm A Celeb winner Sam Thompson.

Also on today's show, hosted by Ben and Cat, acting legends Jake Gyllenhaal and Danny Dyer will be on-screen.

Making their debut last week, Ben was sent a warning from Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly who used to work with Cat on SM:TV.

In a pre-recorded video, Dec said: "Have the best time. You're going to be amazing, we can't wait to watch."

Ant added: "A little bit of a word of advice for Ben about Cat, because we've worked with Cat, and she might be all sweetness and light but that girl can party, don't think she can't."

Dec joked: "Keep the lock on the drinks cabinet."

Cat responded to their quips by saying: "Listen, my motto in life - work hard, play hard."
