Louis Walsh shocks CBB housemates as he reveals he’s good pals with Hollywood star – after telling him ‘you can’t sing’
WITH just days before the final, Louis Walsh is still dropping names – and this time it’s someone very famous.
In tonight’s episode, the 66-year-old tells his housemates all about his surprise friendship with Irish superstar Colin Farrell, who has starred in a string of Hollywood blockbusters.
Sitting in the kitchen with Colson Smith and Fern Britton, Louis explained: “I know him very well as he auditioned for Boyzone and he told me he wanted to be an actor, I knew him from Dublin”
Fern commented: “And now he has an Oscar, doesn’t he?”
Colin was nominated for an Academy Award for his role in The Banshees of Inisherin but failed to win the coveted gong.
As history shows, Louis turned the Irish heartthrob down for the band – and even suggested he gave up trying to be a star.

Speaking of his audition, Louis recalled: “I said ‘you can’t sing, I can’t give you the gig’ because I knew him very well. And he said to me ‘oh I wanna be an actor’ and I said ‘you’re wasting your f***ing time.’”
Louis added: “He went and he worked, no no, he worked it”
Completely awestruck, Colson gushed: “He’s amazing”, while Ferne added: “And he’s very cool.”
During his time in the house, Louis has spilled the beans on a series of very famous faces, including Simon Cowell, Mariah Carey and Cheryl.
He has also taken a pop at Ronan Keating, calling him a "p***k", while adding: "Everybody thinks he's a lovely guy."
Fellow Irish entertainers Jedward, who were discovered on The X Factor and looked after by Louis, did not escape a tonguelashing either.
He said of the two brothers, real names John and Edward Grimes: "I got five million quid for them ... and they were vile. But their novelty was great for the show."
