She told The Sun: "He's been in the business for years. He's been booed, he's been you know, he's had people say nasty things about him in the X factor.
"Louis Walsh is not interested. He has his own quiet life at home, and he's very happy and he just did it for a bit of a laugh."
She added: "Do you not think he's come on there and he knows exactly what he's saying and what he's doing. He doesn't care!"
Louis stirred up controversy in the house when he opened up on his previous experience working on The X Factor.

He caught the eyes and ears of viewers where he decided to slam former Eurovision singers Jedward - who he previously mentored on Simon Cowell's hit talent competition.
But Lauren insisted there is more to him than just his conflicts within the world of showbiz.
"Honestly, he's so fun. He's just very dry," she revealed.
"But it's just banter. He says it to your face, like, 'Oh what have you got?' He's just so funny.
"But i was quite shocked when I watched yesterdays, not yesterday's, the eviction show, remember I've not seen the show, and i've not stopped, so I watched one hour, and it was the eviction show.
"I was so shocked when he was saying about Jedward, calling them vile. I couldn't believe he was actually saying that.]
"He wasn't like that with me. Honestly, he was really, really dun. Dry sense of humour."
She added: "Ricky Gervais sense of humour, but not not nasty."
Former Love Island star Ekin-Su was previously slammed as a 'ruthless' by former CBB star Kim Woodburn.
She accused the reality TV veteran of 'using; the likes of Louis as well as Sharon Osbourne to take her career to the next level.
But Lauren couldn't help but defend the star as she explained: "Well in fairness you could say the same about me I hanging around with Sharon and Louis with Ekin-Su"
"I wasn't playing a game - and if i was.. it wasn't a very good one was it! I was just being myself.

She added: "Look it's Big Brother. You have to nominate your friends , you also have to look to see what's happening and being in a house 24 hours.
"The mask drops pretty quickly. you cant keep a mask on! I think everyone was being themselves, but watching their pees and ques."

GOING STRONG
Louis Walsh - The boyband manager, who's has never knowingly backed down from a fight, regularly trends for for his outrageous remarks
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - Whatever you do, don't mention Love Island to Ekin! Her place in the house is now looking shaky after losing some allies
Levi Roots - Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?
Fern Britton - The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield - but has seemed like a kind and gentle soul in the house
Colson Smith - You'll probably know him best as Corrie's Craig Tinker - but prepare to find out he's not much like his character
David Potts - Ibiza Weekender's breakout star has left that show behind - as well as his trousers by the look of things
Marisha Wallace - It's not CBB without the role of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for' and she's doing brilliantly
Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest
Zeze Millz - the social media star has a "no holds barred interview style" - and she hasn't backed away from calling people (well, Louis) out
Bradley Riches - The actor played kindly James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper and he seems just as sweet in the house
HEADED HOME
Sharon Osbourne - TV legend was a "house guest" on a megabucks deal and an ensuite bedroom, but disappeared after nine days
Lauren Simon - Real Housewives of Cheshire star was the second person to leave. The stars put her up for eviction and the public did the rest
