FANS have been speculating that an EastEnders character who left the show 20 years ago will return now Sharon Watts is back from Australia.

The blonde beauty jetted Down Under after the shock murder of her husband Keanu Taylor at Christmas.

She later returned to Walford having had a complete glow up.

Now viewers think this would be the perfect time for Sharon's half-sister Vicki Fowler, played by Scarlett Johnson, to make a comeback.

Vicki left the soap in 2004, and it was later revealed that she had moved to Australia and reunited with ex Spencer.

At one point Spencer's brother Alfie went to Sydney to help them start running a new bar.

This means it could be plausible that Sharon met with her sibling while they were both in the same country, encouraging her to come back home to London.

Martin Fowler, who is Vicki's brother, has also already returned to the soap this year.

EastEnders fans shared their theories, with one writing: "Seeing as they recklessly killed off Denny, Vicki would be quite a good addition to Sharon's set up. She's also essentially a blank slate, so I would love to see her be introduced and develop into an adult character."

Another agreed: "Yes.  A Scarlett Alice return would be great."

A third joked that they were left asking where Vicki was when Sharon returned without her.

However, one viewer thought it would be better if she did not return.

They said: "I’m probably in a minority here, but I don’t. Sharon has some good friends on the Square and Dennis is getting older now, which opens up a lot of doors for Sharon’s characterisation."
