CORONATION Street fans have sunk their claws into Bobby Crawford's 'stupid and creepy' hunt for Lauren Bolton.
The character - played by Jack Carroll - was left concerned after finding Lauren's flat unlocked and her nowhere to be seen in recent episodes.
Lauren and Bobby had been growing closer before her sudden disappearance, and despite her having a secret boyfriend.
However, Bobby has grown more and more suspicious of Roy Cropper - who was the last person to see Lauren - in recent episodes.
Bobby found Roy cleaning Lauren's flat as he innocently tried to help her, but Bobby has interpreted it as something much more sinister.
In upcoming scenes, Roy is arrested over Lauren's disappearance, but Coronation Street viewers are furious with Bobby and how he's gone about things regarding the mystery.

Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one wrote: "Bobby is such a creepy weirdo. Lauren has gone. So what? The annoying desperate fool knew her for 2 secs & now he's on this crusade to find her?
"Both Lauren & Bobby are v annoying so frankly this stupid stretched SL is beyond laughable."
Another agreed, writing: "Creepy Bobby has known Lauren for all of 5 minutes!
"I put it to you Officer, that he’s tried to get his mucky paws on her, she’s gone “Hell No!” ….and he’s whacked her with his walking frame! He seems to know a hellova lot and is trying to frame Roy!"

A fellow viewer added: "The writers of #Corrie are absolutely shocking! #FramingRoy and just get rid of Bobby!"
Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Sorry but Bobby of all people calling Roy a weirdo? Instead of pointing the Police in his direction what about online accounts? Mystery BF? The far right group?
"They're far more likely to hurt her than Roy. Bethany starts asking questions, suddenly no Lauren? Coincidence?"
In this week's spoilers, it was revealed Roy inadvertently draws more attention and suspicion to himself after being caught with a shovel and bin bags by the police.
In the episode, Nina’s appalled when she reads about how some amateur sleuths have been digging at the bat roost site, hoping to find some evidence to put Roy in the frame for Lauren’s murder.
Roy loads his car boot with shovels and bin bags and heads for the roost site to ensure all is OK.
But as he returns DS Swain is waiting for him to take him to the station.
