THE course of true love never did run smooth - and Daisy May Cooper would be the first to admit it.

Known for her unflinching honesty, the actress, 37, has never been shy opening up about her weird and wonderful love life - even when it includes tales of using one fetish-obsessed ex like a footrest.

From being catfished by a boy who claimed to look like Michael Owen, to being cheated on by a boy racer and dating a Welsh chef with a wonky willy, the This Country star's quest for romance has never been short of drama.

But now Daisy may have finally found 'The One' after it emerged she is five months pregnant with her third child, following a whirlwind romance with her new boyfriend, Ant.

We revealed the Bafta-winner, who already has two children with her ex husband Will Weston, is set to give birth in July.

A source exclusively told The Sun: "Daisy is pregnant and is really excited to become a mum for the third time with her new partner.

"The pair have been going strong, so the addition of a baby will only bring them closer together.”

Daisy met Bristol-based artist Ant after the pair matched on dating app Hinge. They were first pictured together having fun at a car boot sale in Cheltenham, before packing on the PDA at the Baftas last year.

We revealed she moved her new man in, after just nine months after dating.

She opened up about her romance with ‘normal’ Ant to Fabulous in December, saying: “I don’t think I could date anybody in the industry. I’m too much of a narcissist to be able to share my spotlight!

“Now I understand a relationship shouldn’t be rowing at 3am, then walking out and turning your phone off.

“That’s not what love is. Love is being able to live together on a day-to-day basis, enjoying each other’s company, being completely yourself and having that accepted.

“He doesn’t want to compete with me. He earns £1,500 a month and he’s the sweetest, kindest, most chilled-out man."

She added: “He’s like the new Jesus Christ. We get on like a house on fire – and we shag all the time!”

Daisy's new chapter follows her split from ex husband Will a few years ago.

She met Will, who runs his own landscape garden company called The Garden Plant Company, on Hinge in 2015. The couple tied the knot four years later in the Cotswolds.

They went to have daughter, Pip, now five, and three-year-old son Jack. But while she was pregnant with her son during lockdown, her marriage came under strain and they split ten months after she gave birth.

Daisy has admitted she was inspired to get divorced after reading a post on Mumsnet, a parenting forum, about a woman in her 70s who felt "trapped" in her marriage.

And another user helped her as the couple parted ways. She said: “This one woman – a Poldark fan from Halifax – really helped me through my divorce

“I’ve never met her, she doesn’t know who I am and I don’t know who she is, other than the fact she likes Poldark, but my god, I don’t know where I’d be without her.

“During my worst times, I’ve posted my troubles on Mumsnet and been helped by these random women.”

'Divorce saved us'

Reflecting on her marriage to her ex husband, she told the Sun last year: “We were completely incompatible.

“Poor bloke, he had a gardening and plant company, and he’d come in from work and try to talk to me about it, but I couldn’t give a flying f***!

“We didn’t even have the same sense of humour.”

Another red flag was that he didn’t find her hit show This Country funny - and she didn’t laugh at his jokes either.

She asked: “How could I be with a guy who doesn’t think my show is funny?”

Daisy added: “This was the best thing we could have done.

“We can be friends now.”

After splitting from her ex husband, she embarked on a whirlwind romance with chef Ryan Weymouth.

Ryan reportedly revelled in rumours last year that the actress was set to star in the next James Bond film, boasting to friends “now I can tell my grandkids I've sha**ed a Bond Girl.”

His brother Joe, who lives with him in the village of Chiddingfold near Godalming in Surrey, told : “Now she could become a big Hollywood star what with her being linked to playing 'M' in the new James Bond film.

“We were joking about it this morning on the WhatsApp group. Ryan said that at least now he can boast to his grandkids sha**ed a Bond Girl.”

She sparked rumours the couple had got engaged after getting Ryan’s name tattooed on her ring finger during their short-lived five-month fling.

After they split, Joe said: ”Daisy and Ryan had a good few months together. She actually got my brother's name tattooed on her finger - I couldn't tell you why.

“They're both quite impulsive.”

Disastrous flings

Daisy had fans in stitches when she recalled her disastrous love life, in her best-selling 2021 autobiography Don't Laugh, It'll Only Encourage Her.

She says her streak of bad luck started when she got her first boyfriend, who she met on the internet while still at school.

Daisy recalled how she racked up huge bills on her dad’s mobile while chatting to “Keith”, who described himself as a “Michael Owen lookalike”.

But Daisy quickly realised that was far off the mark when the pair met up. She hilariously recounted how he had greasy hair, a face “covered in cystic acne” and only one arm.

They spent an awkward weekend together before she fell for local lad Lee who would drive her around in his pimped up Peugeot 106 before a “s**g on the back seat parked up on the outside of a field”.

But she discovered he was a love rat after spotting a snap of his car in Max Power magazine with another girl draped over the bonnet in next to nothing.

Daisy said of rival “Shelly”: “She had been hanging around us like a rank-smelling Magic Tree air freshener.”

She then went on to date a man she calls “Jake” who claimed he was a former MI5 officer and would pick her up in his VW Scirocco, playing the theme tune from 1980s TV classic Knight Rider at full blast.

His story about why he left MI5 kept changing from terminal cancer to spent time in jail after nabbing “millions of pounds” of cocaine.

She dumped him after a disastrous holiday to Zakynthos that she had to pay for - seeing him disappear for 24 hours, claiming he’d fallen asleep under a bush.

Daisy said: “I never found out whose bush.”

She also gave an hilarious account of her romance with a Welsh chef with a wonky willy. Calling him “Nick”, she says he had a weird sexual fetish for impersonating household objects, including a coat stand and a footstool.

“He positioned himself on all fours with his tongue out while I put my feet up, drank wine, watched Location, Location, Location and flicked my ash his way.

“I tried to do it casually, but it occurred to me that I could get arrested for this. He loved me stubbing my fag out on him. He winced with pleasure, I winced with pain.”

She was planning on dumping him as his sexual fantasies progressed to being tied up, leading to an accident in which Daisy burned his wrists on a heated towel rail.

But much to her frustration, Nick beat her to the punch and ended the relationship, complaining that Daisy was “too vanilla” in the bedroom, which left her incandescent with rage.

Daisy's dating disasters are a world away from her life now.
