LOVE Rat viewers have sunk their claws into Sally Lindsay's new drama by asking if it was 'written by kids?'
The Channel 5 drama follows Emma - played by Sally - a newly divorced woman who heads on holiday to Cyprus to escape her dull life at home.
Once there, she meets handsome wealthy hotel owner Niko (Gerald Kyd), who promptly woos her with trips to secluded beaches and romantic meals.
Emma is totally swept up in his love-bombing, and so when he asks her to move into a villa, she accepts - much to the horror of her nearest and dearest back home.
But they were right to be concerned, as Niko soon reveals he needs a short-term loan of £200,000 to secure the property, and a besotted Emma offers him the cash.
Unsurprisingly, Niko and her cash disappear soon after and it prompts Emma to go on a quest for justice.

However, viewers were too busy debating how she had got around the £100,000 cap on money which can be sent from a UK bank account to Cyprus.
Taking to X - formerly Twitter - one wrote: "I wonder how she avoided the £100k restriction? Was this written by a group of school children?"
Another raged: "So this stupid woman paid off his £230k debt."
A third tweeted: "How did the scammer know she had a spare 200k+ for a start.

"Why didn't she get a vibe all around 'his' hotel that he wasn't the owner? His 'staff' not speaking to him when he walked around?"
Meanwhile a fourth shared: "Nope no man can sweet talk me out my money."
Speaking about her latest drama, Sally, 50, told Weekend magazine: "Niko doesn't ask for the money, and that's what sold me on the script.
"I was very concerned about the idea, but when Emma puts the money in his account despite his objections I thought, 'OK, I understand that, she believes they're buying this villa. She's seen it and believes she's in love with him.'
"Even my agent said, 'I would've given him the money.'"
Love Rat continues tonight at 9pm on Channel 5.
