Tonight viewers watched in awe as the four women took on their endurance test at the edge of the Arctic Circle in Tromso, Norway.

But before they could get started, they needed to prepare their bodies for the extreme cold.

This saw all four women strip down to their swimmers and jump into a frozen lake.

Fans watched as they screamed with cold but bravely cracked on with the task.

One fan wrote: "I can't believe they were only in their swimming costumes!"

While another said: "Bloody hell, you wouldn't get me doing that, but very impressed!"

This one said: "That was very brave!"

Tonight viewers watched as Sara, Vicky, Laura, and Alex took four days days to trek, cross-country ski, and cycle to a finish a line some 50km away.

The group were confronted with minus 20C temperatures and had just eight hours of daylight as they made their way through the polar region.

The celebrity crew had to pitch their own tents and survived on basic food rations in the gruelling test.

Viewers watched as the group faced treacherous conditions, brutal arctic weather, and the risk of frostbite.

At times there were tears, as the enormity of what they were doing hit home.

However, after four days they completed their mission, in what was described as "Comic Relief's coldest challenge".

Ahead of tonight's show Alex posted: "A four-day endurance challenge taking on the unforgiving landscape of the Arctic to raise vital funds all for @ComicRelief.

"It’s going to be tough, long and very very cold but as one team we’re determined to raise as much money as we can to help try to tackle poverty and injustice around the world.
