The story is a spin-off of Guy Ritchie’s 2019 film of the same name, which was an action comedy surrounding the dirty dealings of London’s gangsters.

The Gentlemen follows English soldier Eddie Halstead as he attempts to navigate the criminal underworld while trying to keep his loved ones out of harm's way.

In the new Netflix series, which landed on March 7, Eddie, played by The White Lotus' Theo James, unexpectedly inherits a massive estate and the title of Duke of Halstead from his late father.

However, he soon discovers that the land has become part of a weed-growing empire run by a notorious criminal.
