In the case of Miles and Vanessa, it's double-checking their chiselled abs are visible to everyone in the audience.

Posting a photo on Instagram, Miles and Vanessa headed into the tanning booth one last time - and showed off their matching chiselled abs for the camera as they did so.

The incredibly athletic pair both lifted their shirts to reveal their incredibly muscled physiques, noting they were 'ready to take on the competition'.

Tonight, the pair will be performing a showcase routine in one last attempt to win over the voting public.

They will be performing to Turn To Stone by Ingrid Michaelson.

Also competing in the finale is Corrie actor Ryan Thomas and radio DJ Adele Roberts.

Pro Skater Vanessa has been in five finales since joining the show in 2017 - winning with Jake Quickenden in her debut year and placing runner up four times since.

Unfortunately, just hours before the live final kicked off, sports star Greg Rutherford was forced to withdraw from the competition after suffering a nasty injury.

Just four hours before the cameras were due to go on, Greg's pro skating partner Vanessa James announced the news on social media.

She wrote: "Unfortunately Greg has sustained a significant injury this morning at rehearsals and won’t be able to perform tonight. We are on our way to the hospital for Greg to get examined further and receive the treatment he needs."

Dancing On Ice finale starts tonight at 6.25pm on ITV.
