Celebrity Big Brother in fix row as Kate Middleton’s uncle Gary Goldsmith is first star evicted amid huge format change
CELEBRITY Big Brother fans were left reeling tonight as Kate Middleton's uncle was sent home.
The first eviction of the series saw Gary Goldsmith and reality TV star Lauren Simon go head to head - but it was the businessman who was evicted after lasting just five days in the house

During his exit interview, Gary, 59, said: "This is the first television programme that I have ever done, my comfort zone is back in Slough, it took me a while to acclimatise."
He said he was "self-doubting" when he joined the ITV show, and he should have been "more authentic".
"I could have been way more gregarious," he said.
Speaking about his many references to the royal family, he said: "People were asking me a lot of questions specifically about that because they didn't know what to ask me. And I did volunteer it a lot."
"First time on TV and I cried like a baby, twice," he said about his experience.
Gary had been put up for eviction by former X Factor judge Sharon Osbourne as part of her "secret mission" earlier in the week.
Revealing her decision she explained: "I think he's awkward with himself being here too. I mean, it's very tough for him. He told me about certain things that had happened in his life today and it's very hard for him, I think he's brave to have come in here.
"But I somehow don't think this is the place for him. He's just the oddball out from everybody that's in here.
"It would be (like) if I went into his world and suddenly plunked myself in the middle of one of his board meetings, I'd probably feel the same. So he's just a little awkward."
Gary was clearly upset by the decision but admitted he was indeed awkward.
The Real Housewives Of Cheshire star Lauren received the most nominations from her fellow housemates after they had to pick two people each.
Lauren received six nominations which came from Heartstopper star Bradley Riches, Coronation Street actor Colson Smith, Goldsmith, US actress Marisha Wallace, Strictly Come Dancing star Nikita Kuzmin and TV presenter Zeze Millz.
Following the announcement of her nomination, Lauren told Big Brother in the diary room: "I'm obviously a bit tired, I'm a lot emotional.
"It was a bit of a shock, but I knew that obviously we've all voted and someone has to leave, and I wasn't egotistical enough to think it wouldn't be me but I'm having such a nice time."

She added: "The truth is, I feel that there's obviously more than two people that have voted for me in that room and I'm struggling with not knowing who it is.
"I don't like living with snakes. I am who I am. And I try to be the best I can be and get on with everybody. But I suppose I'm marmite - you love me or you hate me."
Celebrity Big Brother line-up
Who are the 13 stars appearing in the Celebrity Big Brother house? The Sun's Jamie Downham takes a look...
Sharon Osbourne - TV legend - who is a "house guest" on a megabucks deal - said she was doing the show for "a good time not a long time"
Louis Walsh - Irish boyband manager who has never knowingly backed down from a fight and is not above pulling rank over the double bed
Ekin-Su Cülcüloğlu - As we know from Love Island, the Ek-ster is capable of throwing about some dramatics to claw her way to the final
Levi Roots - Reggae Reggae Sauce sauce packs a bit of a kick, but its inventor seems quite mild-mannered. Will that change under pressure?
Fern Britton - The former This Morning star called out Phillip Schofield - don't think she won't do the same to anyone who tangles with her
Colson Smith - You'll probably know him best as Corrie's Craig Tinker - but prepare to find out he's not much like his character
David Potts - Ibiza Weekender's breakout star has left that show behind - as well as his trousers by the look of things
Gary Goldsmith - Kate Middleton's uncle is a big signing for ITV, but has proved a divisive booking among viewers
Marisha Wallace - It's not CBB without the role of 'American who doesn't know what they've let themselves in for' and she's doing brilliantly
Nikita Kuzmin - The Strictly pro is coming onto the show fresh off the show's tour. Poor lad probably just wants a rest
Zeze Mills - the social media star has a "no holds barred interview style" - and she hasn't backed away from calling people (well, Louis) out
Bradley Riches - The actor played kindly James McEwan in Netflix hit Heartstopper and he seems just as sweet in the house
Lauren Simon - She's a Real Housewives of Cheshire star and you really don't get on that show by being shy and retiring
