During the Escape to the Country episode, viewers were introduced to the successful businesswoman who had a budget of £950,000 to find a forever home.

The house hunter sought a detached dream home surrounded by woodland and trees, with two to four bedrooms, a large kitchen diner, and a ‘calm’ room to help her feel restful.

Kicki’s friend of  28 years, Lisa, joined her on the property search, where she made it clear that her reason for the move was inner calm.

After her elder sons had recently moved out, Kicki was ready to leave Woking and focus on herself following a health scare a few years previously.

Speaking on why she wanted to move into nature, Kicki said: “This move is on a spiritual level.

“It feels like I need to be in a more serene environment. I feel that I am starting a new part of my life.

“Moving away from the place where I’ve lived for 17 years just feels right at this time.”

Kicki seemed to like the first property near built in the 1950s Ampfield, as she admitted it gave her ‘good vibes’.

However, the £850K property didn’t tick all of the buyer’s boxes, but she promised the host that she would consider it.

Kicki was left in awe after viewing property two near Droxford, even though they could hear distant traffic from the garden.

Inside the converted barn, Kicki’s calm outward façade completely vanished, and she was reduced to tears after seeing the large and impressive lounge diner.

While trying to hold back her tears, she expressed: “Oh my word, it’s beautiful, it’s stunning. I’m blown away because I love quirkiness. I am blown away, and it doesn’t happen very often.”

A taken aback, Lisa added: “I wasn’t expecting that!”

As the trio headed for the kitchen, Kicki said: “The kitchen is so unique that I’ve obviously never seen anything like it, but I love it.

“It’s just extraordinary. I love it, I can’t really find a fault with it. There are very few houses I get that ‘feeling’ in, and this is one of them.”

However, the barn was over budget and on the market for £995,000, but Alistair told a disappointed Kicki that the owner was open to offers, meaning it wouldn’t be discounted as a potential new home.

When viewing the mystery 17th-century Grade II listed period cottage house in Finchdean, Kicki didn’t feel any love for the property, even though it was under budget at £850,000.

She said: “It doesn’t grab at my heart as much as maybe another house has.”

The next day, the BBC host met up with the two ladies and discussed the three homes they had toured previously.

Unsurprisingly, Kicki’s favourite house was the barn, as she admitted: “I’d love to go back and see the barn again just to see how much I’m prepared to compromise to get a house that gave me that lovely warm feeling inside.”

Alistair replied: “So you did warn us at the beginning of the tour ‘I feel it with my heart,’ and I was like, yeah, everybody says that, but when you walked into the barn, it looked like you were having a seizure.

“You were crying, and you couldn’t speak, so you really did feel it with you heart, but also, you said that you have to check that it lasts, can you say a bit more about that?”

The businesswoman responded: “Yes, that’s very important. I will go back and visit the house when I get home and do a little bit of meditation.”

Alistair clarified what Kiki meant by this, pressing: “You visit it in your mind?”.

“Yes, and it will tell me.” Kicki replied, “And if the feelings are still there, then I will have to go back and see it again. I would like to show the house to my two sons to see what they think and the area around there and bring my dogs down for a walk, they get a casting vote.”

Last month, during an appearance on Morning Live, Sonali Shah shared a bleak update on the beloved BBC daytime show.

The presenter revealed fans will have to wait months for the next season of Escape to the Country.
