What is Goats of the Gorge?

Goats of the Gorge is a company that provides goat milk based skincare products.

Their merchandise is formulated for people with sensitive skin.

Blended with natural oils, the Goats of the Gorge products range from soaps to bath salts to face creams.

They also sell shampoo to help with sensitive scalps, and clay face masks.

Everything that is on sale has NOT been tested on animals, and is cruelty free.

Their products are also palm oil free, as well as being surfactant and sulphate free.

Who owns Goats of the Gorge?

Goats of the Gorge is a family run business which sees dad Nick King team up with sons Daniel and Ricky.

Based in Mendips, Somerset, it was Nick who started the company after spending most of his life as a police officer.

After being injured in service, he was told he had osteoporosis and was advised to drink milk from goats as it contains high levels of calcium.

After realising the wide range of benefits this type of milk provides, he decided to take early retirement from the police force and launch his own company that uses goat milk.

, Nick said: "Interested in a hobby, I attended a soap school in the Cotswolds.

"I learned the basics of cold process soap making then started developing my own recipes by substituting water for goat milk and soon the feedback from my soaps were so encouraging as it was helping a wide range of skin conditions.

"Taking early retirement from the police I began manufacturing a range of goats milk skincare products, selling at markets and then into retail outlets today as a result of many customer reviews."

Speaking about why he loves his business so much, Nick told : "​The fabulous feedback that we get from our customers prompts us to keep making and to keep increasing our range."
