DAN Walker has revealed his new job away from TV, as he gushed ‘ it’s a dream!’.

The BBC star spilled the beans on his latest gig away from the small screen.

Taking to X/Twitter, Dan, 58 revealed he is now a co-owner of a café.

He penned: “You know I go on about cake a lot? Well… I am officially now the part-owner of a cafe!!! It’s something my wife and I have been thinking about for a while and an opportunity came up just down the road from our house in Sheffield at a place we love, right at the heart of the community.

"And with friends who are brilliant. So… feel free to pop along to the Brook Coffee Rooms in Fulwood in Sheffield… I’ll be the one in the corner eating a cronut It is officially… THE DREAM.”

The journalist told his followers that he and his wife have been eyeing this opportunity for a while.

He added that he has now decided to take the plunge with a café in Sheffield that's close to their hearts.

Dan shared a slew of snaps, including one of him standing outside the cafe while.

The host donned a a navy blue puffer jacket with matching navy blue smart trousers and a pair of fresh white trainers.

Another photo showed a collage of all the delicious food served at the cafe.

Situated in the vibrant community of Fulwood, the Brook Coffee Rooms is where you'll find Dan, probably munching on a cronut in the corner.

It's safe to say, this new venture is nothing short of a dream for Dan and his wife.

Dan hosted BBC Breakfast for six years before announcing his departure in 2022.

During his time on the iconic red sofa he hosted with former anchor Louise Minchin and current star Sally Nugent.

Elsewhere, Dan recently revealed he was reduced to tears due to sleep deprivation.

Speaking about his time on BBC Breakfast, Dan said the early starts and lack of sleep left him emotional.

He told ITV's This Morning: "By Wednesday I was, like, full zombie mode. And also you get really emotional.
