Celebrity Big Brother 2024 LIVE — Lauren breaks down in tears after shock nominations as Sharon Osbourne slams Adele

CELEBRITY Big Brother was not one to miss last night as the housemates' nominations were revealed.

The famous faces had to nominate for the first time - and it was revealed that Real Housewives star Lauren Simon will be the star up against Gary Goldsmith tonight.

Shortly after the news was told to the house, Lauren got up from the sofa in tears as she told everyone that she was "in shock".

Sharon and Louis think that the public will save her, meanwhile Ekin-Su confessed that she thinks some people "can't handle her".

Marisha, Nikita, Colson and Gary are the housemates who put her up for eviction.

Meanwhile on Late and Live, Sharon said that singer Adele is playing up her cockney accent - and fans have gone mad on Twitter.

Read our live blog below for the latest news and updates...

  • Cheeky Louis

Louis is thoroughly enjoying ALL of this.

Just look at that grin. Will he still be as catty once Sharon has left the house?

    I hope so...

  • Gary is up

    Sharon has given her verdict.

"The housemate that I nominate is.... Gary," she told the rest of the house, via a big screen while sitting in the Diary Room.

Sorry, Gary. You are not through to bootcamp!

  • It's time

You're up, Sharon! The housemates in the danger zone are about to learn their fate.

She's certainly had enough time to decide!

  • So much gossip

It's only Day 3 and we've already had Gary spilling the beans (well, he didn't actually spill much) about his niece Kate Middleton and Louis dishing the dirt on The X Factor and Girls Aloud.

And let's not forget Fern making a gloriously sly dig at Phillip Schofield when it was suggested he could enter the house as a surprise.

    Day 3, people. Day 3. It's wild!

  • Table dancing

Marisha might not be at the party, but she is determined to make the party come to her.

    Check out that table dancing!

Currently, it seems more wild in the main house than in the party room.

Who are the real losers, eh?

  • Poor Ekin

Ekin-Su has just won over the hearts of the nation with her confession about her doomed romance with Davide.

She's just admitted she 'made the mistake' of being more into him than he was with her.

When asked by Broadway star Marisha why things came to an end, Ekin quietly whispered to her: "He hurt me."

    Poor Ekin!

  • Happy Brad

Bradley seems to be living his actual best life in the CBB house.

He has a wild smile on his face and is very enthusiastic about the entire experience.

Good lad to look up to Fern as a mother figure, that is a wise move.

He seems to be loving everyone but accepts they may not all get on one day. I look forward to that day #drama.

  • Difficult decision

Sharon is now grilling David in an effort to help her decide who to boot out.

She has an issue with his lack of trousers. Can he claw himself back out from this?

Sharon insists she isn't a "prude" but David has politely warned her not to "pre-judge". I think he's managed to turn it around already!

Especially with all the compliments on her coordinating with the lair decor...

  • Party time

Tonight's party is going to be wild. Sharon - in true VIP style - has an automatic ticket, because she's.... well, Sharon.

Louis will be delighted, as he probably would have refused to go without his bestie anyway.

Will there be booze? I do hope so. The gossip is already flowing tonight, so let's make it flow some more!

  • Come on, David

Come on, David! You've got this!

He WILL make it over that finish line. Just feed him another carrot!

  • Horsing around

Any excuse to play Beyonce's Texas, eh?!

It's the first task of the series and half the housemates are dressed as race horses, the other half as jockeys.

Ekin-Su would look good in a bin bag - and also in a donkey costume it seems!

  • Telling it like it is

Good on Sharon for telling Gary exactly what she thinks.

"I don't want to be a celebrity," said Gary...who is on Celebrity Big Brother.

Sharon bluntly told him: "I simply don't believe you."

She's got his card marked. There's no pulling the wool over our Sharon's eyes.

  • Fern's feud

There we have it, Fern has confirmed she is still feuding with Phillip Schofield.

Despite remaining coy about her This Morning departure when talking to Gary, she suddenly dropped her guard.

Gary mused the idea of Phillip entering the CBB house as a "surprise" and she shot back: "I might have to leave at that point."

    Ouch!

  • X Factor woes

It sounds like Louis didn't really enjoy The X Factor as much as he appeared to at the time.

He just told Ekin-Su that he didn't like "how big it was". He also called Simon Cowell and his best mate Sharon Osbourne "divas".

We didn't see Louis complaining at the time, just laughing all the way to the bank...

  • Pop star dreams

Well, who'd have thought - Lauren could have been the next Sinitta.

She has just named-dropped Simon Cowell to Louis Walsh, claiming he once approached her in a swish London club.

"He wanted to make me famous as a singer," she said. "He came over to give me his card and then I'm in Barbados.'

Louis's reply was gold. "He fancied you," he told her bluntly.

  • Humble beginnings...

So Gary claims he was a multi-millioniare before he was 30.

Why is he in there? I think we know why....

  • Let's go!

And we're off! Sharon has a big decision to make tonight and we're here for it!

Will it be Gary, Zeze or David who will be up for the public vote?

Could it be David, purely because he had no trousers on when he entered the house? Quite possibly!

  • Who is at risk of eviction on Celebrity Big Brother 2024?

During the Celebrity Big Brother launch night, Sharon Osbourne was given the power to choose three housemates that could possibly be put up for eviction on Friday (March 8, 2024).

Together with her good pal Louis Walsh, she spent the night in a secret lair and judged the other housemates as they entered the rebooted show.

With help from her X Factor pal, Sharon picked three names to go into the “ring of fire”.

However, only one of the names chosen by her will face the public vote.

The three up for eviction are:

    • Gary Goldsmith
    • David Potts
    • Zeze Millz
  • Why is Sharon only in the house for five days?

Sharon, who is sleeping in a separate room to the rest of the housemates, explains her short stay is only so she can be with her husband, rocker Ozzy, 75, who has Parkinson’s disease.

She said: “I don’t want to stay away from Ozzy for too long.

“We’re so close as a family.

“I don’t think I have ever gone a week without talking to any of them, ever.

    “Through fights, feuds, everything.

“We still talk and this will definitely be the longest.

“I don’t know how I’m going to cope.”

  • Louis makes his presence known

Louis appeared to anger some of his fellow house mates during yesterday’s episode of the show.

Louis stormed into the bedroom and started shouting ‘up, up, up’ and then later claimed he was joking.

Daytime telly icon Fern spotted his antics and looked highly unimpressed with many at home noticing. One fan wrote: “Erm you weren’t joking though were you Louis? Fern totally clocked it too.”

  • Where is the Celebrity Big Brother 2024 house?

When ITV brought back Big Brother in 2023, they moved the famous house away from its former spot at Elstree Studios.

The previous compound was actually demolished after the final series in 2018.

Filming moved to Garden Studios, which is a newly-built studio in West London.

  • What are the rules in the Celebrity Big Brother house?

Our celebs have to abide by a series of strict rules if they wish to remain in the Big Brother House.

    These are:

    • No contact with the outside world while they are in the house. The housemates also aren’t allowed to make attempts to communicate personal messages to their loved ones.
    • Housemates are filmed 24 hours a day and must wear their personal microphones at all times.
    • The celebrities must visit the Diary Room everyday.
    • Housemates must take part in nominations and always give a valid reason for their nomination – they are also banned from discussing their choice with their other housemates.
    • They must take part in all of the shopping tasks that Big Brother set them.
    • Unacceptable behaviour will not be tolerated in the Celebrity Big Brother house.
  • Sharon slams Harry and Meg

The TV personality said everyone is “fed up” of the Sussexes’ moaning, during a conversation with Kate Middleton‘s uncle Gary Goldsmith.

Gary mentioned Prince Harry for the first time since being in the surveillance-filled house – and Meghan – whom he has never met.

The millionaire businessman asked fellow housemate Sharon, who has lived in America for years, what the “vibe” is about the pair in LA.

She suggested their popularity is “dwindling”, adding: “I think everyone is fed up of their moaning”.

Gary said Harry was “massively loved” and an “extra dynamic” ruined his happy family life.

  • Meet the housemates – Levi Roots

Multimillionaire Dragons’ Den star Levi has been snapped up too.

He has been described as a great addition to the Big Brother house, a “fun character” and an inspiration to a young generation of viewers.

In a recent interview with The Sun, Levi said: “I couldn’t even say my own first name when I left Jamaica, so to come to the UK and now run a multimillion pound business is beyond belief.”

Levi was spotted by a BBC producer for Dragons’ Den in 2007.

  • Sharon Osbourne says she ‘doesn’t speak' to 'snooty' Simon Cowell anymore

Celebrity Big Brother star Sharon Osbourne has confirmed she no longer speaks to Simon Cowell, branding him "snooty."

Sharon starred alongside Simon on The X Factor but it seems the pair are no longer pals.

Asked if Simon had been in touch with her or Louis Walsh ahead of their appearance on the ITV show, she said: “He would not call Louis or I. He is very, what’s the word? Snotty. Simon just is.

"He has his little posse around him, the same people he’s had for years, and that’s who he talks to."
