EASTENDERS shock as Nish Panesar takes revenge on Stacey Slater - by framing her for a crime she didn’t commit.

The evil businessman - who is played by actor Navin Chowdhry in the BBC soap - attempted to steal Kat Slater’s money until she learned of his scheme this week.

In tonight’s episode of EastEnders, Kat (played by Jessie Wallace) was determined to take Nish down herself, but her plan failed when Priya Nandra-Hart (Sophie Khan Levy) overheard her talking and tipped Nish off.

She warned him that Kat was using his lawyer Roger against him.

Roger called to tell Suki Panesar (Balvinder Sopal) how Nish had pulled all his business from his law firm and knew what Kat was planning.

She phoned Kat to warn her but it was too late and Kat was already there.

Facing Nish alone, Kat demanded to leave and he began to threaten her so she fought back.

Hurling a vase at him, she made a run for it but Nish had locked the doors.

“You’re not going anywhere,” he growled as he grabbed her round the neck and dragged her backwards.

“Suki should have told you, I’m not the kind of guy you mess with.”

But his words earned him a swift elbow to the face and Kat fled to the door, managing to open it and escape into the Square as Suki, Eve Unwin (Heather Peace) and Stacey Slater (Lacey Turner) arrived to back her up.

“He locked me in the house and dragged me down the hallway,” she shouted as Nish chased her outside shouting that he would have her arrested.

Stacey thundered: “You’re a right piece of scum you are ain’t ya? Even your lawyer thinks so. 

“The last person who terrorised my family ended up behind bars so you carry on and you’ll be in the cell next to him. 

“I’m warning you. Get back in that house and go and lick your wounds like the coward you are.”

Kat then added: “In case you haven’t realised, you’re dumped. And for the record you are the worst I’ve ever had.”

Nish ran inside, humiliated, but he soon decided on his revenge. He called the police detective investigating Christmas and claimed he remembered something from the night.

He said. “It wasn’t Keanu Taylor who hit me round the back of the head, it was a woman… Stacey Slater.”

Regular viewers of the London-based program will know that Nish has it all wrong, although Stacey was present when he was bottled by Denise Fox (Diane Parish).

The hairstylist hit Nish over the head with a heavy bottle in the Queen Vic as he tried to latch on to his wife Suki who had made the decision to leave him for her lover Eve.

Nish became violent, striking Linda Carter (Kellie Bright) in the face, which prompted Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) and Denise to retaliate.

Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters) walked into The Vic right after Nish had been attacked by Denise and, in the now famous twist aired on Christmas Day which saw him being killed off, the hunk was blamed for the assault.

The Six have since been trying to keep their murder secret under wraps but Nish figuring it out he was attacked by a woman could be the beginning of the end.
