Dancing On Ice in favouritism row as fans accuse judges of ‘overmarking’ couple every week
DANCING On Ice has been hit with a favouritism row as fans claim the judges are overmarking one couple every week.
Pro skater Vanessa Bauer and celeb partner Miles Nazaire performed an emotional routine to Genie in a Bottle by Christina Aguilera tonight.
The pair sizzled with chemistry as they glided across the rink, performing showstopping dips and lifts.
At one point Miles spun his partner while only holding her wrist and ankle, which earned a cheer from the crowd.
The panel of judges was swept away by their performance, awarding them a high score of 37.5 altogether.
Olympic skater Christopher Dean called the pair "the ones to beat right now", and complimented them for showing the audience examples of "diverse skating" each week.

However, fans have been left protesting that ITV show bosses are giving Vanessa an unfair advantage.
Several viewers took to social media saying that she always gets paired up with a young athletic man, which gives her a higher chance of making it to the final.
Many also pointed out that Made in Chelsea star Miles barely skated on his own, and were of the opinion that he clung to Vanessa for the majority of the performance.
One person wrote: "No way was Miles' skate a 9. There was not enough solo skating or variety in that. But this is why he will win."
Another hit out: "Watch them moan at Amber for not letting go when Miles held onto Vanessa and skated in circles for 90 seconds."
A third agreed: "Miles literally held onto Vanessa the whole time. If Amber done that skate she would have got criticism."
Someone else complained: "Why do they keep overmarking Miles and Vanessa? That was worth a 7 at best?"
A fifth claimed: "The evil Miles and The evil Vanessa could just stand and do nothing and they’d get 9.5 from Torvill and Dean."
