WHEN they aren't facing off against Lord Sugar in the boardroom, The Apprentice candidates get to live the life of luxury in a stunning £17.5million mansion.

Viewers of the BBC contest are left in awe each year as the show's cast spend weeks living in the luxe London mansion.

However, one of this year's cast admitted that despite it being one of the UK's most desireable homes, he felt it could do with an upgrade.

The home, known as Huxley House, is located on The Bishops Avenue in Hampstead, North London which is also known as Billionaire's Row.

Over the years, the BBC has housed their show's contestants in sprawling mansions, however it is thought that this is the most expensive and expansive one.

There should be enough room for the many candidates thanks to a whopping eight bedrooms and nine bathrooms.

Inside the home is a huge indoor swimming pool surrounded by stunning marble flooring.

There is also a cinema room where the cast can relax but show star Paul Bowen recently told the that they can only watch films on there as they are cut off from accessing anything from the outside world.

Just across from the cinema room is a bar that would not look out of place in a top London nightclub.

The home was first introduced to TV on Channel 4 show Britain's Most Expensive Houses and is thought to cost around £100,000 a month to rent.

Despite the no-expense spared motto, axed contestant Paul revealed that it was in need of an upgrade.

After his show exit, he told the Mirror: "It’s such a big house, it’s the biggest house I’ll ever get to stay in that’s for sure.

Lord Alan Sugar makes Apprentice history with shock decision ahead of brutal double firing

"But, even still they could do with upgrading the beds, those beds were only Ikea – considering it’s a multi-million pound house they could spend another tenner and get us a decent mattress."

"There’s a cinema room, although you can’t watch proper telly, you can watch films and stuff like that.

"But to be honest, because there's always so many of you in the house you've always got someone to speak to, everyone's got so many stories.

"We spent a lot of the time getting to know each other and getting to know each other’s stories."

The show's latest episode ended in a double firing with both Jack and Amina axed from the contest.

Lord Sugar also made show history as he stopped the taxi returning to the house and asked everyone from the losing team to come back to the boardroom for a double firing.

After the candidates left the boardroom and got into the taxi, Karen BradyAlan's advisor, said to Alan: "I've gotta tell you Alan, they all made mistakes. They're all culpable. They should all be back in here."

Alan then called up reception and said: "You know what. Stop those other candidates going back to the house because I want everybody back in this boardroom."

Pharmacist and Business Owner Amina Khan and Recruitment Director Jack Davies were then both fired.
