Stuart Organ dead: Grange Hill star known for playing Peter Robson dies aged 72 as tributes pour in
GRANGE Hill and Doctor Who star Stuart Organ has tragically died aged 72.
The actor portrayed PE teacher-turned-headmaster Peter Robson in the children's TV Drama.
He was longest-serving member of staff in the fictional London comprehensive school.
Stuart also played Kevin Cross in the TV soap opera Brookside and featured in Doctor Who alongside Sylvester McCoy.
He had roles in Casualty and Holby City and starred in a number of films, including 1990's Those Glory Glory Days, 1994's festive film Present Spirits and 1997's Fork In The Road.
But his most beloved role was as the firm but fair headteacher Mr Robson on Grange Hill.

The show, which ran from 1978 to 2008, helped launch the careers of many actors, including of Lee MacDonald and Todd Carty.
Stuart began acting at the Leeds Playhouse in 1975 in a performance of Tom Stoppard's Rosencrantz And Guildenstern Are Dead.
He also played Judge Turpin in Queens Theatre Hornchurch's Sweeney Todd.
Tributes have flooded in for the actor from devastated fans.
One wrote: "Can't believe it, that fella helped shape my childhood. Legend."
Another said "He was fantastic", while one wrote: "RIP Stuart," with a heart emoji.
