‘What the hell is going on?!’ rage Emmerdale fans as they call out baffling change to Moira Barton

EMMERDALE viewers have been left baffled after spotting a change to Moira Barton.

Moira is played by Natalie J Robb in the ITV soap, and wowed fans with a dramatic change in hairstyle last year.

However, in recent episodes, Emmerdale viewers have noticed that she has been keeping her dark locks concealed under various forms of headwear.

In a number of scenes, Moira has worn a checked flat cap, which is nothing if not a farming attire stereotype.

During Monday’s episode, Moira was seen in the hat while talking to Nate at the kitchen table following his split from wife Tracey.

Later in a scene in the village, Moira was cornered by Caleb Miligan and his recently arrived estranged wife Ruby.

As Moira climbed into her car, she was seen wearing a black baker boy-style hat instead of the flat cap.

Moira’s new hat game quickly became a topic of conversation on X – formerly Twitter – with one writing: “And…Change of hat Moira! What next? A sombrero?”

Another wrote: “What’s with all the hats Moira’s wearing…?”

A third tweeted: “Moira is really upping her Hat game.”

Meanwhile a fourth commented: “Does Moira not like her new haircut? That’s usually when someone starts wearing hats.”

Moira debuted her new look in September last year, swapping her longer locks for a short, sleek style tucked behind her ears and swept over in a side parting.

One fan wrote on social media: “I’m liking Moira’s new hair do.”

Another added: “Moira looks so youthful with her new short locks – she’s setting the trend! Folks I know you’re all calling up the hairdressers as I speak.”

A third tweeted: “Love Moira’s new haircut.”
