In a new sneak peek video, Ant and Dec head to Los Angeles for an unmissable Undercover segment, targeting Simon outside his Californian abode.

Simon is seen riding his bike through Malibu blissfully unaware that he's about to be stopped by two actors dressed as police officers.

The Geordie duo can then be heard gasping as Simon is pulled over.

Dec says: "We are ending the Undercovers where we started… with Simon Cowell! Our first ever Undercover was on Simon in LA when he was a judge on American Idol.

"So we've gone back and got Simon Cowell again.

"We went out to LA and gave him the day from hell whilst he was judging on America's Got Talent.

Co-host Ant added: "It was even sweeter getting him the second time round because we also got him during his downtime as he’s riding his bike around Malibu, it’s very, very funny."

In addition to the Undercover segment featuring Simon, highlights in the upcoming live launch show include Stephen Merchant as the Guest Announcer, the introduction of a new little Ant & Dec, and a special End of the Show Show featuring singer Becky Hill and Urban Theory.

Throughout the years of SNT, Ant and Dec have pranked the likes of Jeremy ClarksonAlison HammondRylan Clark and Amanda Holden.

Lorraine Kelly recently told viewers on her show that the duo also pulled a hilarious prank on her.

The long-running family show will return to ITV1 with its 20th series at 7 pm on February 24.

Ant and Dec sensationally announced they would be quitting Saturday Night Takeaway last May.

It has been running for 20 years and won countless awards, including seven BAFTAs and eight National Television Awards.

But the duo have decided to "rest" the show so they can work on new formats.

Ant said at the time: "We love making Saturday Night Takeaway, but reaching the milestone of 20 series seemed like the perfect time to pause for a little while and catch our breath.”

Dec added: We still have a momentous 20th series to look forward to first so we will do our best to go out (for now) with a bang in 2024.”

The pair previously paused the hugely popular live show in 2009 before returning four years later in 2013.
