Strictly Come Dancing releases statement about Robin Windsor’s shock death saying ‘it is an extremely difficult time’

STRICTLY Come Dancing have released an official statement in the wake of Robin Windsor's tragic death aged 44.
The BBC show paid tribute to the former pro dancer, calling him "caring, considerate and kind."
A statement on the dance competition's instagram page read: "The whole Strictly are deeply saddened to hear the news about our dear friend Robin Windsor.
"He was not only an exceptionally talented dancer and choreographer but also a caring, considerate and kind person both on and off the dancefloor.
"Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
His former colleagues were quick to share their grief on the post.
Dianne Buswell added a heartbroken emoji, while Oti Mabuse commented with a series of crying faces.
Judge Motsi Mabuse left prayer hands on the post and two hearts.
Robin was one of the professional dancer's on the long-running show from 2010-2014.
During that time, he was paired with celebrities including Patsy Kensit, EastEnders legend Anita Dobson, Dragons' Den star Deborah Meaden and Lisa Riley.
He also partnered with newsreader Susanna Reid, who he performed with in a special episode for Children In Need in 2011 and The Great British Bake Off host Alison Hammond in the 2015 Christmas special.

While Robin was very popular on Strictly, he left the show in 2014, claiming bosses had sacked him following a "horrible back operation".
He said at the time: "Leaving Strictly wasn’t my choice. I had a horrible back operation and they decided that they didn’t want to ask me back the next year.
"It was probably for health and safety reasons, in case something happened, but I was physically fit."
The tragic news of Robin's passing was confirmed today in a statement from his representatives Sisco Entertainment.
A statement said: "It is with heavy hearts that we announce the tragic passing of our beloved friend, Robin Windsor.
"Robin’s presence in Come What May was more than just a performance; it was an embodiment of passion, grace, and sheer talent.
"His extraordinary ability to express emotion through movement captivated audiences, leaving them spellbound with every step.
"Beyond his impeccable dancing, Robin’s vibrant spirit lit up the room, infusing rehearsals and performances with infectious energy and warmth. His laughter was contagious, his kindness boundless.
"His friendship was a gift cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. Robin, you will be deeply missed.
"Though Come What May will continue without you, your legacy will live on in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in your light."
A separate statement from his agent then added: "It is with deep sorrow that we announce the tragic passing of our beautiful Robin.
"Robin's dancing started from a very young age and never stopped. He lit up any room he walked into, he was a nurturing soul always full of fun.
He brought so much happiness to anyone who saw him dance. Strictly Come Dancing, Burn The Floor and many other dance shows along with all the school children around the country who he gave his time.
"Robin was a strong advocate for mental health and worked closely with the ‘Sane Charity’. The dance world has lost some of its sparkle today."
Marcus shared a picture of himself with Robin and captioned it: "The World just got a lot less sparkly. Robin you were so loved."
