THOSE tuning into BBC Radio 2 this morning will have noticed a hosting shake-up as Owain Wyn Evans was absent.
The 39-year-old became the new permanent presenter of the Early Breakfast Show following Vanessa Feltz's departure in 2023.
Where is Owain Wyn Evans?
Owain usually presents the Early Breakfast Show Monday to Friday from 4 am to 6.30 am.
However, fans have been left wondering why he is away from the show today (February 19, 2024).
Owain was last present for his Friday morning slot on February 16.
Fans who had been hoping to hear his return on Monday were left disappointed when he was nowhere to be heard.

A number of listeners took to X, formerly Twitter, to discuss Owain's absence.
One wrote: "Whats occurring at @BBCRadio2? supposed to be Owain yet all we are getting is continuous music and a radio silence from the main man himself."
A second added: "Hello @radio2 no Owain this morning just constant music - hope he's ok!"
A third penned: "Come on @BBCRadio2 What's going on with the non-appearance of Owain Wyn Evans?"

Who is Owain Wyn Evans married to?
At the age of 17, Owain came out as gay to friends and family members.
He has spoken out about homophobic abuse received on social media for his presenting style and continues to be vocal in his support for the LGBTQ community.
Speaking previously about his sexuality, Owain told the : "I knew I was gay from a young age, but I just didn't know what it was because, when I was growing up, there weren't any reference points for what it actually meant to be gay.
"It was a very masculine and heteronormative environment: the only cultural touchstones for gay people was them being the butt of jokes on TV or overly-flamboyant characters.
"I literally felt like the only gay in the village, so I suppressed my sexuality. I put it in a box and thought 'this is a part of me I can hide'
"I didn't talk about it or understand it."
In March 2017, he married his long-term partner Arran Rees in London.
The pair moved into their fifth reno project in 2023 after relocating back to Wales from the north west of England the year before.
They celebrated their new abode in true Owain style with a bag of chips from the fish shop.
Taking to Instagram, Owain wrote: "And so the renovations begin again!
"We always have a bag of chips on the first night in a new place… this will be the fifth home we’ve done.
"Hopefully we’ll stay in this one for a while! We will keep you posted with how we get on."
Why did Owain Wyn Evans go viral for drumming in 2020?
Owain shot to fame for accompanying the BBC News theme during the coronavirus crisis.
His drumming at the end of a forecast in April 2020 became a viral sensation, bringing smiles to the faces of viewers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic.
The journalist became known for his catchphrase 'hello my dahlings' (sic) as well as his forecasting.
