David was snapped filming scenes outside the court in Manchester yesterday in advance of their TV broadcast.

He appeared to be joined by Joel Deering, played by actor Calum Lill, who was acting as his solicitor in relation to the mystery incident.

No current stories which would potentially implicate the Weatherfield favourite in a crime have been announced by the soap so the new pictures are likely to send fans minds racing.

Roy was also thought to be being supported by neice Nina Lucas and close friend Carla Connor during his court appointment.

During filming, David was all smiles in between takes as he was dressed in his typical Roy get-up.

Although he had a suit on for his court appearances, he also opted to wear his trusty grey coat.

Roy's appearance in court could have a connection to the soap's recent puppy-farming scandal which saw him and pal Evelyn Plummer seek to expose the wrong-doings of a local ne'er-do-well who was exploiting the pups and keeping them in cramped conditions in order for their own financial gain.

It all stemmed from a run-in Evelyn had with him which saw her take his own dog.
