LOVE Island fans were left in fits of laughter after working out how Sophie Piper's sister really feels about the man she is coupled up with.

In tonight's episode of the ITV reality show girls and guys were separated for the day to have some down time away from their partners.

As the boys headed off for a gossip over some pints, the stars back at the villa received a text letting them know they would be getting video calls from back home.

The girls were overwhelmed by emotion after hearing the announcement, as they have not had any contact with friends or family members outside of Love Island for weeks.

Sophie squealed in excitement when it was her turn to make contact with the outside world and she saw sister Rochelle Humes on the screen.

The Essex beauty couldn't wait to get her sister's approval of Josh Ritchie, the man she is coupled up with on the show.

However, Rochelle seemed less than enthusiastic about her sister's new man.

When Sophie asked about her family's opinion of the lad, her TV presenter sister reluctantly replied: "You know I'm not gonna sugarcoat it. I'm warming to him more now than I was at the start."

She also suggested she was unsure about how much chemistry the pair shared, adding: "I can't tell with you."

Viewers were quick to pick up on her hesitation to say Josh is a good match for her sister.

They flocked to social media to share their thoughts, with one giggling: "Rochelle can’t even hide she doesn’t like Josh!"

Another agreed: "Rochelle does NOT like Josh."

A third exclaimed: "Rochelle isn’t feeling Josh at all!"

One person complimented her for being defensive on Sophie's behalf, saying: "Rochelle being the protective and honest big sister, we love to see it."

There is a good reason why Rochelle is not the biggest fan of her sister's current partner.

Sophie's family members and Love Island fans alike were shocked by the way Josh spoke to her when she got upset about his flirtation with Joanna Chimonides.

Viewers felt like he tried to manipulate her when he told her he didn't like the "tone of voice" she took with him.
