Love Island’s Tom defended by show winner Sammy after he’s accused of ‘recycling’ chat-up lines on Molly
Tom's close pal and Love Island winner Sammy Root has backed his All Stars relationship
LOVE Island winner Sammy Root has defended Tom Clare who has been accused of "recycling" his chat-up lines on Molly Smith.
Tom came under fire from fans for his soppy compliments while wooing Molly, which were suspiciously similar to what he said to ex girlfriend Sami.

Some Molly supporters fear Tom's "used" her to get to the final.
Speaking to , Sammy said: "Knowing Tom on the outside, he'd have gone for her no matter what.
"She's exactly his type.
"I really don't think Tom is the kind of person to just do things to get to the final.

"He's a very real person like myself, I think that's why we get on."
2023 ITV2 show stars Tom and Samie split last April after finishing in third place.
Love Island All Stars fans noted how he told Molly how he "did genuinely see you being my girlfriend" in an almost word-for-word dialogue to the lines he told Samie.
They also posted a compare and contrast with his lines to Samie on their day out - where he dubbed it "the best date" - to his "best first date" ever with Molly.

They also posted a clip of his "tunnel vision" for both ladies while many flagged they were both wearing red dresses.
Meanwhile Molly has been trying to find love in the villa with her ex-boyfriend Callum Jones as a fellow Islander.

He's now happily coupled up with Jess Gale.
Sammy continued: "I feel like Molly and Tom getting on very well and I feel like Callum and Molly are past it. Every now and then they do make you wonder.
"I'd like to think he doesn't end up getting hurt, and he stays with Molly."
