Celebrity MasterChef facing battle of ITV daytime stars as Lorraine and This Morning stars both sign up for show

TWO of ITV's biggest daytime stars have signed up to Celebrity MasterChef.

Gregg Wallace and John Torode will be back in the kitchen with a new batch of famous faces.

The Sun can exclusively reveal the cooking competition has signed up two presenters from ITV's daytime roster.

Craig Doyle, who has become a regular fixture on This Morning, has signed up to MasterChef.

The Irishman, 53, will be in good company as Christine Lampard will also put on her apron.

Christine, 45, who is married to football manager Frank Lampard, regularly hosts Loose Women and stands in for Lorraine Kelly on her breakfast show.

They will hop channels to join the line-up of the next celebrity special of the BBC cookery show, which is due to air this summer.

Other names said to have signed up include Ian ‘H’ Watkins from pop band Steps, presenter Edith Bowman plus Radio 1Xtra’s Snoochie Shy.

From the world of reality TV is Diane Carson from The Traitors, plus Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby and new Gladiator Nitro, AKA Harry Aikines-Aryeetey.

The announcement comes ahead of filming for the nineteenth series of the celebrity cooking contest, which will commence later this year.
