Love Island’s Alberti twins look unrecognisable on This Morning after they ‘crack America’ 9 years after reality TV fame
The pair shared a new career announcement on the lunchtime show
LOVE Island’s Alberti twins left Alison Hammond swooning today when they appeared on This Morning – a decade after finding fame.
Long before Davide Sanclimenti announced himself to the Love Island villa as an Italian Stallion, and identical sisters Jess and Eve Gale made their incredible villa entrance, there were the Alberti brothers.
The Manchester-based duo, who go by the nickname Double Trouble, were unlucky in love on series one of the dating show in 2015.
But they’ve gone on to find huge success through their mutual obsession with cooking Italian food.
And they appeared on ITV’s lunchtime This Morning today to plug their new book and YouTube channel.
The pair, whose family hail from the Garfagnana region of Tuscany, also revealed their newfound success has made them a hit in America and Canadan.
John said: “So we’ve since then we started our blog, the Alberta Twins.com and our YouTube cooking channel. And we appear on TV shows in America mainly.
“We’ve gone over to America quite a lot. And Canada, We do a lot of cooking TV shows.”
The genetically blessed brothers were also quizzed on their show fame, and host Dermot O’Leary asked: “Were you the first to get voted off Love Island?”
They replied: “No, no. That’s false. We just didn’t like anyone on there.”
The identical pair brought big smiles to the ITV studio cooking up spaghetti alla puttanesca.
While their flamboyancy didn’t help them find partners in the villa, they revealed they are now both off the market, as Alison quizzed them on their love lives.
She asked: “Do you fancy the same women?”
Tony replied: “We got a similar taste, but not on the show!”
Since appearing on the show in 2015, the twins have been on a mission to share their Italian cooking with the world.
They told Alison and Dermot: “We want people to cook as a family, to cook with passion and love.
“We want to show do not have to be a professionally trained chef to cook great food at home and cooking is an act of love, a gift, a way of sharing. Something that is enjoyed and brings the whole family together. Eat, Drink, Love Italian.”
