Sheryl Lee Ralph recently won an Emmy for her acting - 31 years after her first hit movie.

And according to fans the seems to be ageing backwards.

The Abbot Elementary star blew fans away with a guest appearance on American talk show The View last week.

Sheryl wore a flattering off the shoulder pink dress complemented with an elegant diamond necklace.

She featured on the episode next to 68 year old, veteran, panellist of the show and acting legend Whoopi Goldberg.

The golden pair have been long-time friends and co-stars as Sheryl appeared in Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit in 1993.

Whoopi moved her Sister Act 2 co-star to tears, after inviting her to reprise her role in the under wraps Sister Act 3, live on air.

Whoopi said “We're in the process of putting together 3. Would you come be a part of it? Whatever it is,” Sheryl gasped as she was brought to tears by the proposition.

Sheryl, who boasts one million followers on her Instagram, shared the emotional moment.

Fans flooded to the comments to congratulate the star, but also to fawn over how young and beautiful she looked.

One fan commented: “Ageing like the finest wine.”

Another exclaimed: “She looks so fresh and beautiful!”

Sheryl began her acting career on Broadway and earned her first nomination for a Tony Award for best actress in a musical in 1982, for her iconic role as Deena Jones in Dreamgirls.

She continued on her career path and featured on a host of TV shows such as 90s sitcom Moesha and Street Gear in 1995.

Between television and film, Sheryl’s acting resume accelerated in the late 80s and early 90s, earning her several guest appearances.

She then returned to the screen to play Abbott Elementary’s Barbra Howard, in which she was awarded an Emmy for in 2022.

At this year’s Emmys earlier last month, Sheryl stunned fans as she wore a plunging mermaid number reminiscent of the staple Dreamgirls gown.

Fans took to social media to compliment the Emmy Award winning star and have labelled her an “ageless beauty”.

One even questioned “How can a person look 30 something for 67 years?”
