Silent Witness in product placement row as Emilia Fox’s friend’s brand appears in show

SILENT Witness has been forced to respond after Emilia Fox was spotted wearing clothes from her friend's brand in the BBC drama.
Emilia often steals a scene thanks to her incredible wardrobe playing Dr Nikki Alexander.

And in the new series the 49-year-old actress, who has starred in Silent Witness since 2004, modelled at least one item from the collection in every episode.
The clothing range has been popping up in various scenes and in one installment Nikki stuns in a £170 sleeveless jumper and a £220 cordless double-breasted jacket.
In another she wears a cord dress that retails for £295 and £260 tweed herringbone jacket.
Emilia also features on its website and has plugged the brand on her Instagram page.

She recently said: "Am absolutely thrilled and honoured to have been asked by Marielle to do a collaboration with @wyselondon.
"It feels like a joyous celebration of our friendship and shared belief in wearing clothes are are stylish , expressive and fun."
When contacted by the , a spokesman for Ms Fox said it was not a sponsorship deal and the actress did not financially benefit from the collaboration.
However, Silent Witness have been too distracted by Nikki and Jack Hodgson's romance to notice the fashion row.

Last month, Jack (played by David Caves) and Nikki (Emilia) had a heart to heart where they finally said those three little words to each other.

Although there was some miscommunication, the pair then slept together at the beginning of the following season in the episode History, Part 1.
Jack and Nikki’s relationship became official later that season in History, Part 4.
Since the pair officially became a couple, Silent Witness fans have been treated to some adorable Jack and Nikki moments, including a steamy romp earlier this season, which was another major milestone for the characters.
