Emmerdale legend breaks silence after making shock return and reveals huge spoiler

EMMERDALE legend Michelle Hardwick has broken her silence about her shock soap return.

The actress - who plays Vanessa Woodfield in the ITV soap - made a shock comeback this week after more than a year on maternity leave welcoming her second child.

Now back filming full-time, Michelle is back into the swing of things and she’s set to be part of a huge love triangle going forward.

Viewers watched as Vanessa was lured back to the UK by best friend Rhona Goskirk, but she was in for a shock.

As Vanessa arrived at Rhona’s rented secret cottage, she was horrified to find out that she had kidnapped baby Ivy too.

Michelle said: “She had no idea that she’d run off with the baby and essentially kidnap the child.

“So it’s a massive shock to Vanessa because first of all she’s thinking ‘what the heck are you [Rhona] doing?’

“There’s all blind panic going through her because she’s like ‘hang on, I’m here now, am I an accomplice? Am I gonna get done as well? What’s gonna happen to Johnny?’”

But while Rhona’s story plays out, Vanessa will return to the village and run into ex Suzy.

However Suzy has been growing closer to Rhona’s lesbian mother Mary - and it’s set to be a huge love triangle.

Michelle added: “Where we left it relationship wise was on a very positive note with Suzy, even though they weren’t together, they left and had a little kiss and it was all very lovely.
