The Masked Singer hit by furious fan backlash amid sexism row ahead of all-male finale
THE Masked Singer has been hit by a furious sexism backlash by fans after the remaining two female contestants were eliminated tonight.
The shock exits of Air Fryer and Eiffel Tower - Hollywood singer Keala Settle and 80s popstar Tiffany - means next week’s final will be an all-male affair.
And fans are furious.
One wrote: “How can you get rid of the three most amazing female singers in a row? What a travesty #MaskedSingerUK”
A second said: “Sexist audience getting rid of all the women 😒😒😒 #maskedsingeruk”
Another added: “Nahhhh #MaskedSingerUK can do one, not watching a boring all male final next week with an obvious winner 🤦🏻♂️

“Losing two iconic females in one week, it’s just not on.”
A fourth commented: “Okay now I’m officially peed off that the 3 finalists are all male, all seem to have been guessed.
“There have been far better female vocalists evicted before Bigfoot. #maskedsingeruk”
A fifth added: “Man, despite #MaskedSingerUK contestants have more females than males, 7 to 5, and all of the female contestants are being eliminated.
“Air Fryer or Eiffel Tower or both really should be in the final.”
Another said: “Oh dear! The sexist voting from the audience. #MaskedSingerUK”
Tonight Eiffel Tower was revealed as 80s superstar Tiffany Darwish.
But instead of re-singing a track, Tiffany sang her number one hit I Think We're Alone Now after being asked by judging panellist Jonathan Ross on Saturday night's episode.
Meanwhile American actress and singer Keala Settle has been revealed as Air Fryer.
The 48-year-old theatre star told the judges that they did not make "many close" guesses, even though one of the hints pointed to her Golden Globe win for the musical The Greatest Showman.
When she was unmasked as Air Fryer on Saturday's semi-final, Settle said she was "pleased and privileged to be able to do it" and there had been no physical difficulty with her square-style outfit.
Settle said: "You have this facade that you're used to, you know, performing, being that person, and when this is off? That's off, this is what they're looking for.
"It was a massive learning experience and it was a game changer."
She also appeared surprise that a previous guest judge, comedian and Absolutely Fabulous star Jennifer Saunders, did not guess her identity before the semi-final as they had starred in a London musical adaption of Sister Act together.

Comedian Mo Gilligan said Settle's performance was "absolutely phenomenal" before adding: "Some of the songs you were singing, it was almost like this show could go on for like 10 years and we would never know."
The latest guest panellist was ITV presenter Lorraine Kelly, who was revealed to be the singer Owl on a previous episode.
