Last year she released her first independent record, Head In The Ground.
She said of the track: “It’s an admission of my own complacency at a difficult time in my life and I wrote this song as a bit of a slap on the wrist to myself, because I know better than to run away from the things that scare me. Sometimes you have to make fun of a sticky situation to see the light and I had a lot of fun making this record.”
Despite her success and fame, Ella previously admitted to suffering from impostor syndrome.

She told the : "I had never really known what that meant until I heard other people speak about it and yeah I probably suffer with it 50 percent of my daily life.
"I've been in music for 10 years now which is hard to believe and at the start I had no impostor syndrome whatsoever because I was young, I had never released before, I had never had people's opinions come back at me.
"At the beginning it was so much easier because I was so in love with what I was doing so it didn't matter about external opinions or the result of it. At that point I wasn't making money anyway I was just making it, it was for fun."
