Controversial BBC Breakfast host finally returns to show after weeks off screens as fans threaten to switch off
A CONTROVERSIAL BBC Breakfast host has finally returned to the iconic red sofa - but fans have threatened to switch off.
Beeb viewers tuned in on Thursday as Naga Munchetty returned to the studio after weeks off air.
The presenter, 48, had been missing from BBC Breakfast as worried viewers asked where she was.
Her long absence wasn't addressed when she returned to the show, presenting alongside Charlie Stayt.
However, Naga's return left fans at home polarised as she had an on-air clash with MP Chris Philp.
She probed the Policing Minster on Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's comments in the House of Commons.

The PM hit out at Sir Keir Starmer over his trouble in describing a female — with Esther Ghey, the mum of murdered transgender teen Brianna, in Parliament.
Reacting to Naga's interview with Chris, one viewer said: "I love Naga."
A second wrote: "Wow! Naga has fired up her barbecue early this year."
"Why, Naga, do you continue to push when you are fully aware that the question won’t be answered the way you want it to be? Move on," fumed a third.

During Naga's time off BBC Breakfast a number of familiar BBC presenters stood in for her.
Weekday anchor Sally Nugent hosted with Charlie, 61, last Saturday in a rare weekend appearance.
