EDDIE Knight has become a hated character among soap fans as his behaviour with his son George has been far from loving.
But things go from bad to worse between the two as George finds out why they're back in touch next week in EastEnders.
Tension has been palpable between George (portrayed by Colin Salmon) and both of his parents - particularly with his adoptive father, Eddie.
The newcomer played by Christopher Fairbank rocked up Albert Square earlier in 2024 alongside his wife Gloria (Elizabeth Counsell) but BBC One viewers have sensed the pair could be hiding something.
Many soap watchers have speculated that Eddie could be racist due to the vocabulary he chooses to use while around his own son and granddaughter Gina (Francesca Henry), who has made it clear she's not his biggest fan.
Fans of the London-based program are proven right next week when George nervously prepares to go to his parents' home for the first time in years for Eddie's award celebration.
