IT’S all hotting up in new Sky Drama series Mary & George.
The official trailer sees stars Julianne Moore and Nicholas Galitzine as mother and son Mary and George Villiers.
Both infiltrated the 17th century English court to woo King James I, played in the series by Tony Curran.
Based on the non-fiction book The King’s Assassin, the seven-part series sees Mary, always the smartest person in the room, thrust her young son George, known to be beautiful and charismatic, into the spotlight.
She tasks him with pursuing and seducing the King to climb the social ladder as their family struggles for money and status, and make himself one of the most powerful men in England.
But once at the top, the drama follows as the bloody game to stay in the King’s favour unfolds.
