BBC star speaks out after being targeted by sick death hoax as concerned fans complain ‘you gave us a heart attack’
A BBC STAR has been forced to speak out after being targeted by a sick death hoax.
Former Flog It presenter Michael Baggott took to social media after rumours surrounding his 'death' surfaced.
The author and antiques expert confirmed to worried fans he was very much alive.
Posting on his official X, formerly Twitter, account, Michael reposted a bogus death story about him.
He then told his followers: "The truth is it’s the “Vintage Specialist” bit that really hurts…"
The TV star added: "Not dead quite yet."

Michael's fans also saw the humours side to the hoax and flooded his post with replies.
One said: "I just knew your ghost stories were based on first-hand, lived (or perhaps deaded) experience!"
A second wrote: "Drat, I was already planning on turning up to your funeral tea and silver spoons mysteriously falling inside my umbrella, like Lobelia Sackville-Baggins in Lord of the Rings."
"Bloody hell, that was scary - until I realised you had posted it. Phew. Does "vintage specialist" mean you're a specialist who is vintage, or someone who specialises in vintage stuff? Confusing," said a third.

While a fourth commented: "You almost gave me a heart attack!"
Michael isn't the first TV star to be targeted by a death hoax, with Denise Welch recently forced to confirm she was alive.
A social media account had wrongly posted that the Loose Women star had died in tragic circumstances.
Meanwhile, Michael previously took aim at Antiques Roadshow - previously a direct rival to Flog It, which also aired on BBC One.
While watching an episode, he remarked: "The sad day came at last, not a single antique on the Antiques Roadshow. Bit heartbroken by it to be honest."
Flog It was dramatically axed by Beeb bosses back in 2018 to make way for a "new generation" of daytime programming.
