I almost lost my family after buying Spanish villa behind my wife’s back – Love Island star saved me, says Tommy Mallett

TOWIE star Tommy Mallett has told how he almost lost his family after buying a Spanish villa behind his wife’s back.

The 31-year-old also revealed for the first time Love Island‘s Jacques O’Neill helped save his life before his ADHD diagnosis.

Tommy and Georgia Kousoulou found fame on Towie and went on to launch their own spin-off show with son Brody.

They married in secret last month after ten years together.

But their relationship was put at risk when Tommy’s behaviour spiralled out of control.

Speaking on Boots presents , Tommy explained to host Vogue Williams and guest Christine McGuinness that his wife Georgia begged him to go to the doctors.

After buying a house in Spain without telling Georgia, his long-suffering partner had had enough.

“We were about to split up”, said Tommy.

“I was moving out the house, it was that bad.

“I bought a villa in Spain and had everything I ever wanted as a 30-year-old. There was nothing I needed.

“But later I was sat in this villa in Spain by myself. I thought, ‘what has happened? I don’t have my family here’.

“I didn’t have my family to go back to because they couldn’t be around me.”

Love Island 2022 star Jacques quit the show, admitting he struggled to “be myself” while struggling with his ADHD.

After hearing about Jacques’ mental health, Georgia noticed similarities in Tommy’s symptoms.

Tommy explained: “Georgia made me go to see someone. She was watching Love Island and she saw this guy Jacques had ADHD and she realised it’s not just for naughty kids, there’s a lot more about it.

“I went to see the doctor and I was thinking, ‘please tell me I’ve got ADHD, I’m going to lose my family, I need help’.

“He said, ‘got it? I’ve never ever seen anyone with it as bad as you’.”
