The no-nonsense woman has opened up about aspects of the ITV programme that annoy her, including mandatory morning meetings at 8.30am.

She told Women's Own magazine that she found a cheeky solution to attendance, saying: "When I started at Loose Women in 2011, I was shocked to discover that they expected me to be in the studio for 8.30am and sit in a small room where there was a lot of gossip exchanging.

"I was caught reading the newspaper and not paying attention, so since COVID-19 I have done the meetings remotely – it was a great excuse.

"I sit at home watching them all on my computer yelling, ‘I can’t hear.’ I’m like a disembodied face.";

The makeup artists on set have been left unhappy with her scheme as it means she ends up running late for getting a touch up ahead of the show.

However, this doesn't seem to phase Janet, who giggled: "When I come in, we’ve all gone into makeup and I arrive last, and they call me a diva!

"I’ve got my own small list of requirements in my dressing room, like redbush tea bags, and I don’t want to talk to anyone, but unfortunately, I have to.

"Over the years, I’ve developed a skin like a rhinoceros."

The morning meetings aren't the telly personality's only pet peeve.

The former I'm A Celebrity star shared that she also dislikes being seated close to the cameras, and dreads the moment when she has to walk out on stage.

Janet added: "I hate walking on set. Brenda [Edwards] walks on brilliantly – a West End star, she can occupy the stage.

"I’m at the back crying, ‘Do I have to walk on?’ and they push me out. There is a collection of Janet’s worst walk-ons on YouTube – I don’t know how they do that steady wave.

"I don’t like sitting on the end of the panel because there is a cameraman there.

"I hate that angle, especially when I’m wearing a clingy T-shirt with a bra that’s a size too small, and everything hangs out at the sides."
