‘Watch it before it’s axed!’ gush Netflix fans as they’re ‘blown away’ by streamer’s ‘most underrated show’
NETFLIX viewers are urging others to watch a French thriller that went unnoticed in the charts and have demanded that the streamer commissions a third series.
The suspenseful international series starring Carl Malapa, Némo Schiffman and Manon Bresch first launched on the streaming platform in 2019.
The Netflix original Mortel has caught the attention of many subscribers who have raved about it on social media.
The show follows two high schoolers, Sofiane and Victor, who end up developing special powers, which they use to team up and try to solve a murder after making a pact with a supernatural being.
In 2021, a second season of the French series landed on the streaming platform with six new episodes.
Eager fans are now hopeful for a third series to continue the tense tale, even though it remains unconfirmed.

Regardless, viewers have taken to social media and complimented the first two seasons while asking for a new series to be made.
Taking to Reddit, one user wrote: “Mortel is soooo underrated. I’ve periodically been scouring the web for info on a potential s3 (including searching in French), but not much comes up.
“The characters work so well together, and I’d hate it if we didn’t get a least one more season to wrap it up.”
Another viewer penned: “Late to this party, but this show was the best I’ve seen in a while. Adding to the prayers, it will be resurrected”.
A third typed: “Can’t be a good sign if we’re all here after searching for a possible S3. I was hoping things were just delayed.
