Unfortunately, even though he gave a brilliant performance, airline pilot Phillip, who lives in Guildford, was caught by the 41-year-old Chaser despite building an astonishing 18 steps in the final chase on his own after the rest of his team were eliminated at the Cashbuilder stage.

During the game's early stages, Philip managed to build up £5,000.

When Bradley asked him why he wanted to win, he revealed that he had relatives in Australia he hadn't seen for twenty years, so he planned to take his family on a trip to visit them.

Out of all the contestants, Philip was the only one who managed to make it past the initial stages, which meant that he had to face 'The Vixen' alone during the final chase.

He was automatically one step ahead on the board and then answered 17 questions, giving him a score of 18 for Jenny to catch.

Bradley was extremely impressed and pointed out that he had gotten through 27 questions with the brainy player.

He explained that Philip had either gotten the other ten wrong or passed on them, but he was keen on reinforcing how well Philip had done during his appearance on the show.

Phillip then told Jenny she had put in a brilliant performance, to which she replied: "Phillip, all credit to you. You said there that I put in a great performance.
