BBC Bargain Hunt viewers have shared that they “turned off for 5 minutes” after they spotted one of the teams make a ‘huge mistake’ during the latest episode.
Expert Richard Madeley teamed up with the couple and was tasked with helping them find the best items that would make them a profit at auction.
During Friday’s instalment of the BBC’s Bargain Hunt, fans of the show said they couldn’t watch on as the blue team, retired husband and wife Neil and Prue, made a questionable purchase.
The couple who were looking to find profitable items at an antique fair in Llandeilo went against the red team, father and daughter duo Rob and Charlotte.
Both teams seemed drawn to a galvanised tin bath with plants in it, but Prue and Neil became somewhat fixated on it and kept returning to it.
Prue asked about the cost, then returned and informed the others how much they would need to purchase the item.

While showing them the feature, Prue told the others: "The lady said £75, and she did mention that it’s got the original cap for the outlet.”
Richard went on to tell them the realities they would face at auction with it.
He responded: "In terms of profit at auction, when it goes to the auctioneer, I imagine he is going to say £40-£60, £50-£70 - that's going to be his estimate.”
They then requested the vendor to hold it for 30 minutes while they looked around the market further.

With five minutes to spare, they returned to it and purchased it.
However, Richard's predictions appeared to be right, as despite drawing remote bids, it sold for only £55 at auction.
Unfortunately, they were left feeling disappointed by the outcome after they discovered that the money they used was taken from the profit they had made from other items.
Bargain Hunt viewers were astounded by what the couple had purchased, so they took to X(Twitter) and expressed their views on the item.
One user wrote: "£75 for a tin bath. They need their heads looking at #BargainHunt."
Another added: "£75 for an old tin bath. F****** nuts #bargainhunt."
A third agreed: "£75 for a small tin bath. You’re having a laugh #bargainhunt."
A fourth followed, "Bath will drown out all this profit #BargainHunt”, while another stated, “I’ve turned off for 5 minutes #bargainhunt."
Elsewhere on Bargain Hunt, fans were left in stitches as they spot a livid wife's reaction to her husband's 'rogue' purchase.
The orange peeler was sold for £ 70, and the team celebrated the extra £20 added to the total.

However, the buyer's wife looked far from impressed with the new kitchen purchase.
